To Our Valued Patients:
As an essential business, Excelsior Eye Care remains committed to safety as we navigate through the COVID-19 crisis. We have expanded hours and patient care to include comprehensive exams. Following guidance from government and healthcare recommendations, we focus on measures to promote the health and safety of our patients and employees.
We have implemented several infection prevention measures to ensure the highest level of safety when you visit our clinic.
We are requiring an appointment to enter the office. Appointments will be made for eye exams, glasses, and contact lens pickups. If you do not have an appointment please call before entering so we can make sure we do not have too many people in the office. After entering, please use hand sanitizer or wash your hands and wait to approach the front desk until the receptionist is ready.
For patients being seen in our clinic, the CDC is now recommending that all staff, patients and visitors cover their faces in health care facilities. To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, we are requiring patients to bring and wear a face covering (such as protective mask or cloth covering) to any upcoming appointments.
All people entering the building will have their symptoms checked.
We continue to ask that you do not bring any unnecessary people with you to your appointment, with the exception of a guardian with a child or assistance with mobility. Also, please follow the 6 feet social distancing guidelines as much as possible throughout the office.
We are following strict disinfecting protocols for all surfaces. The team will be frequently washing their hands between interactions, as usual protocol.
If you want to purchase glasses, there are similar protocols in place to ensure a safe interaction with cleaning of frames and minimal contact with our optical team.
Excelsior Eye Care is also offering telemedicine visits to provide healthcare away from the office. To schedule a telemedicine visit please contact our office at 952-401-6300 and one of our team members will be happy to schedule your visit.
612-562-8388 is the after-hours emergency number to call or text. Please leave a message with your contact information and synopsis of your symptoms.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call us. We appreciate your efforts to help protect yourself, our care teams and our entire community as we navigate these coming weeks.
